How It All Started
It’s 2010, and a marketing professor dives into the world of Digital Marketing, long before it becomes the buzzword it is today in India. She could see—a world where people would be glued to their mobile screens, shopping with a swipe.
With this vision, she decided to switch gears and become a consultant, guiding marketing agencies through the uncharted waters of the digital space. These agencies were evolving rapidly, moving from traditional design to digital, from simple websites to dynamic digital experiences, and from conventional branding to digital-first strategies.
By 2014, digital-only agencies in Chennai were still a rarity. She started Chennai Goes Digital, which would later be rebranded as SODME Digital Marketing in 2017.
SODME stands for the School Of Digital Marketing Excellence, and it was born out of a desire to lead the digital revolution.

Fast forward to today, and SODME Digital Marketing has an impressive track record. Since 2014, we’ve partnered with hundreds of retail and educational brands across a variety of industries, including textiles, jewelry, beauty, cosmetics, restaurants, schools, colleges, events, personal brands, and real estate. We’ve built effective online brands, crafted over 500k engaging and influential pieces of content, and generated leads for institutions and sales for e-commerce brands.
Our consultants have worked with over 1,000 small business owners, significantly boosting their online sales. We’ve honed our expertise in paid social media, social media strategy, content production, and social-commerce, mastering all the major platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
